Saturday morning

There is nothing better than a lazy Saturday morning where we stay in our PJs a little longer than normal, have pancakes for breakfast, and spend a little quality time together.

Paige is becoming quite the reader. Here she is reading her favorite book to Tyler - can anyone guess what it is?

And when it was finally time to get dressed, Tyler decided he would rather run "nakey" around the house!

Poor guy finally had to get dressed.

They're Back

Spring is here...and huge herds of elk are grazing through our neighborhood. The males lost their racks sometime around February so most have single horns right now. We should be seeing some babies soon!

See the herd behind Paige...probably 30 or more.

Roadtrip

Last Saturday, we took a day trip to Colorado Springs. First stop, Garden of the Gods. That's Pikes Peak in the background, in case you are wondering.
We had beautiful weather in the upper 70s...it felt like summer!

Tyler loved playing on and around all the rocks. Here he is making his funny face again.

We stopped for lunch at our favorite French cafe (and a nap for Tyler) and then off to the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur museum in Woodland Park.
Paige's favorite dinosaurs are the Pteranodon, T-rex, and Triceratops. She loved the kids area where she made lots of fossil rubbings.
And Tyler's favorite dinosaur was this Pteranodon puppet!

We ended the day with some frozen custard and rootbeer floats in Manitou Springs.
It was a great day!

Ty Ty

Tyler is just so fun right now. In the last 8 weeks, he has become quite the talker. He narrates a play-by-play of his/our entire life. Look at the picture below and imagine him saying "Push...baby...fast...rocks...push...rocks..."

And he is quite the ham, here's what he does when I say "Show mommy your funny face."
He is such a sweet, loving boy. When he's not talking and playing with his Monster Trucks (i.e. "Digger"/Grave Digger and "Mutt"/Monster Mutt), he sometimes just passes out...cause he's such a busy boy!

The Continental Divide

One of the best things about living here is that while you are traveling around town you are likely to catch a glimpse of this!

Grammy

Grammy came for spring break. We did a ton of playing, but not a whole lot of picture taking...here are a few I captured downtown.

Tyler is on the go! He was fleeing from us, but luckily Grammy was able to capture him and return him to safety. :)
Tyler gives lots of hugs and say "loooove" while giving them. He is so sweet, but don't let him fool you...
He also has plenty of mischief to keep us all busy!

Hanging Lake in Glenwood Canyon

While my mom was in town, Chris took off for a little Jeep trip and some hiking in Glenwood Canyon. At the top of the hill, he found Hanging Lake with its green waters, icicles, and ice tower!

St. Mary's Glacier

At the end of February, we hiked to St. Mary's Glacier in Idaho Springs. St. Mary's is the southernmost glacier in the U.S.A. The hike is only 1.5 miles roundtrip and well worth it once you make it uphill .75 miles.
