The Continental Divide

One of the best things about living here is that while you are traveling around town you are likely to catch a glimpse of this!

Grammy

Grammy came for spring break. We did a ton of playing, but not a whole lot of picture taking...here are a few I captured downtown.

Tyler is on the go! He was fleeing from us, but luckily Grammy was able to capture him and return him to safety. :)
Tyler gives lots of hugs and say "loooove" while giving them. He is so sweet, but don't let him fool you...
He also has plenty of mischief to keep us all busy!

Hanging Lake in Glenwood Canyon

While my mom was in town, Chris took off for a little Jeep trip and some hiking in Glenwood Canyon. At the top of the hill, he found Hanging Lake with its green waters, icicles, and ice tower!

St. Mary's Glacier

At the end of February, we hiked to St. Mary's Glacier in Idaho Springs. St. Mary's is the southernmost glacier in the U.S.A. The hike is only 1.5 miles roundtrip and well worth it once you make it uphill .75 miles.

Valentine's Day Party, Kindergarten-style

It all starts with circle time...

Then you add in some animal dancing...

A few crafts...
And some Valentine snacks...
Now that's a party!
And makes for a happy girl.

More Fun with Gail (aka Miss Hanson)

Miss Hanson was one of Paige's preschool teachers at St. Luke's when she was 3-years-old. Since then, she has been our babysitter for years and has become a dear friend. When she agreed to come out for a long weekend so that we could go skiing, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to show her around Colorado for the first time!
So, the fun did not end in Breck...we did some hiking at Red Rocks and went to Evergreen Lake to play in the snow and take our picture with a HUGE trout snow sculpture. :)

Ski Weekend with the Lakes

We spent President's Day weekend with our friends, Scot, Deb & Delaney in Breckenridge. The girls mastered the ski lift and the green slopes during ski school and afterwards we all got to ski together - it was so awesome!
Here are our proud ski bunnies...Gail, our babysitter from Orlando, flew in to visit and watched Tyler so that the 4 of us could enjoy a beautiful ski day...and some relaxation at the lodge.
We went sledding at Carter Park in Breck...there go the girls down the hill,
And the Lakes also came to check out our Evergreen home...
and of course we played in the snow...
