Fall Colors at Guanella Pass (September)

We took a trip to Guanella Pass to see some fall colors and stopped at Al's Real Pit BBQ for lunch on the way...delicious!

 

We found this old truck and an old mine off a Jeep trail in the middle of nowhere!

Roadtrip to Royal Gorge

Over Labor Day weekend we took a short roadtrip to the Royal Gorge where you can walk on the world's highest suspension bridge and take a cable car over the gorge.

You can also play in tee pees and ride mules!

A PJ Party for Paige

Paige turned 6 this year and wanted her girlfriends to come over for a "PJ Party"!

And we ended the evening with a movie and some nail painting!

 

Steamboat Springs

We spent a long weekend in Steamboat Springs in August. We started the weekend with a short hike to Fishcreek Falls and then went to a cattle ranch for some horseback riding, calf roping, and a down home country meal.

 

On Saturday, we went up to Rabbit Ears...see them way back there in the distance?! We took the Jeep all the way up to the base of them and enjoyed the wildflowers along the way...

 

 

We also took some time to soak and swim in the Strawberry Park Hot Springs.

Jeep Date

Chris and I got a babysitter so we could go out Jeeping and hiking...and have some peace and quiet (i.e. NO WHINING!:)

In late July, we headed over the Boreas Pass for a picnic with our good friends, the Heinings. You can see the Breckenridge ski slopes in the background.
